LASER in Sports Traumatology

Introduction :

My experience with the CO2 Laser started in Oct 1984, with a polyvalent 30 Watts Laser CO2 VALFIVRE.

As a sports Traumatology Doctor, I must keep abreast with research into innovative treatments..

Today, after more than 18 years of daily practise in my cabinet, I do between 25 to 30 sessions a day, I can attend to the effectiveness of the CO2 Laser.

80 % of my patients are sent to me by others doctors who are delighted with the outstanding success of this appliance especially considering the disappointment they have had with “Softs Lasers”

In Fact, today as can be seen from the rising demand from patients and doctors, the CO2 Laser is successful when the classic medical treatments is a failure, before thinking to a surgical act.

With Use, I quickly realised that CO2 Laser had a remarkable decontracting, anti-inflammatory, anti-oedema, painlessing effects, which enable it to be efficient in muscular tendinuous and ligament pathology, but especially its effects on muscular regeneration and fibrose scaring healing, make it indispensable in the treatment of chronic tendinites, post-muscular lesions after effects or scaring problems such as Cheloides, nevromes, adherences, particularly after surgery and even athrofial skins, post-cortisone (infiltrations) respond spectacularly well in a few sessions.
